We first met in May 2014 (shoutout to Johnson McFarland and our Group Communications Seminar).

After a few months of distance and back-and-forth (including a very busy DU Grilling Society), we rekindled our relationship at Harry's ZBT semi-formal.

Things took off from there—with many formals and semi-formals (and we mean MANY)…

One super long-distance semester (Clara studied abroad in Scotland while Harry stayed at DU)…

Several themed parties (we love a theme!)…

And one last formal (we told you there were a lot)…

We finally graduated from the University of Denver together in June 2017. Harry had a job lined up in Boston, while Clara had one in Chicago (long distance, here we come)!

Over the course of 2.5 years, we took several trips back and forth between Chicago and Boston—racking up those airline miles!

From Cubs and Red Sox games to exploring each city, to trips to Michigan and more, we made the long distance worthwhile.

Finally, we decided to put an end to the long distance and move to DC, where Harry had relocated for work. And right after Clara moved to DC, guess what happened?

The pandemic. Within weeks, the world shut down, and we got to know one another on a whole new level. We had themed nights, made it through all of Lost (and several other shows), played virtual drinking games, Clara cut Harry's hair (a true test), and spent lots of time with family in Alexandria.

When the world started to open up again, we spent time traveling…

Hanging out with friends (told you we love themes and costumes)…

And making the most of our time in the city!

After all the laughs, fun, travel, and several weddings, it was time for us to tie the knot. Harry proposed to Clara on August 23 at her favorite spot, Crystal Lake, Michigan, with both families present!

We’re so excited for this next chapter of our lives and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you. P.S. We’re also moving back to Denver in January 2025 and are stoked about that too. Big year for us!
